Shipping MRV

 

EU Regulaton 2015/757 came into force on 29 April 2015.

 

It imposes specific responsibilities on ship owners with ships over 5000 gross tonnes.

 

The following timelines apply:

 

31 August 2017 - 'Registration' of each ship with an accredited verification body, including submission of a Monitoring & Reporting Plan.

 

1 January 2018 - Commencement of monitoring of fuel use or emissions plus other cargo/ passenger details per voyage!

 

1 January 2018 - Commencement of aggregration of emissions plus cargo / passengers for each obligated ship.
